Ex-West Brom kitman responds to Ian Abrahams time wasting tactics Tweet

England kitman Pat Frost has hit back at an Ian Abrahams Tweet where the sports broadcaster claimed West Brom goalkeeper David Button was time-wasting in the club’s 1-1 draw against Norwich.

Frost is the former West Brom kitman and wasn’t impressed with Abrahams’s suggestion that the Albion goalkeeper was wasting time from the “15th minute”.

The man in question Button has been under a bit of pressure recently and showed a few nervy moments in the game but put in a fairly good performance on the day.

Frost responded emphatically to the broadcaster’s claims that Button had been time wasting throughout the game replying to the Tweet.

“No he didn’t…. 1 min added on in the 1st half and 4 mins added on in the 2nd half…. and that was with a controversial goal and 6 subs…. don’t make stuff up” replied Frost.

West Brom

Griffiths in.

Button has failed to live up to being Albions number one shot-stopper since the departure of Sam Johnstone in the summer and this hasn’t helped their efforts this season.

Steve Bruce has maybe shown too much loyalty to Button and this has unfortunately hindered the team in a negative fashion.

There is a solution, however, to the club’s goalkeeping issues and that is young goalkeeping talent Josh Griffiths; Albion have an immediate recall option for the talented England Under-21 starlet.

Button has had more than a chance to prove his worth to West Brom and unfortunately, things just haven’t panned out for the 33-year-old.

Griffiths, however, can provide a youthful spark in Albion’s side and can be molded into an even better talent with multiple Championship games under his belt.

Hopefully, Bruce and the club make the right decision here, It’s time for some changes to be made in the team and the goalkeeper position is the perfect place to start.

In other West Brom news, Ron Gourlay may already have his plan for the manager’s future set out.
