West Brom struggle to sell tickets to Chris Brunt and James Morrison testimonial
West Brom are struggling to sell tickets for the upcoming ‘Clash of the Legends’ at The Hawthorns, West Brom News understands.
Chris Brunt and James Morrison are taking part in a joint-testimonial on Saturday (24 September) with the two modern-day Albion legends captaining sides made up of former players.
Bob Taylor, Ben Foster, Peter Odemwingie and Zoltan Gera are among the former players who’ll be featuring at The Hawthorns this weekend while promotion-winning managers Tony Mowbray and Roberto Di Matteo will be in each of the dug-outs.

West Brom News has been told by a source at The Hawthorns that fewer than 10,000 tickets have been sold for the event, where all proceeds will go to the Albion Foundation.
Even though the Smethwick End is closed, there are thousands of tickets waiting to be sold in the Birmingham Road End while the only areas with limited availability are around the halfway line in the East Stand and West Stand.
Albion uploaded a new article to their official website on Tuesday morning (20 September) in order to push sales but despite a host of famous names being set to pull the famous blue and white stripes back on this weekend, fans haven’t exactly been throwing their hard-earned cash at the club.
Although the Baggies earned a good point away at Norwich last weekend, Steve Bruce’s side sits 21st in the Championship with just one win in 10 matches while only a positive goal difference currently keeps them out of the relegation zone.

Fans have also been angry with Guochuan Lai’s ownership at The Hawthorns with the Chinese business taking a £4.95million loan out of the Black Country club despite investment clearly being needed in Bruce’s first-team squad.
Attendances haven’t been terrible at The Hawthorns this season despite the club’s poor form and tickets for the Brunt v Morrison testimonial this weekend are priced at £15 for fans aged 17 and over and £5 for ages 16 and under.
The full list of former Baggies playing so far this weekend are: Jonas Olsson, Roman Bednar, Odemwingie, Billy Jones, Marc-Antoine Fortune, Simon Cox, Steven Reid, Paul Robinson, Gareth Barry, Robert Koren, Ishmael Miller, Craig Gardner, Graham Dorrans, Gera, Wes Hoolahan, Goran Popov, Paul Scharner, Nicky Shorey, Filipe Teixeira, Taylor, Foster, Tomasz Kuszczak, Andy Johnson, Pedro Pele, Sherjill MacDonald, Craig Beattie, Hal Robson-Kanu, Martin Albrechtsen and Leon Barnett.
In other West Brom news, Bruce is under “genuine pressure” at The Hawthorns.
