West Brom will benefit from potential kick-off changes for EFL
West Brom have got very used to kicking off at 3pm on a Saturday over the decades but there could be a potential change to all of that.
According to The Telegraph, discussions have taken place about moving Football League and non-league kick-off times to 1pm in the future to cut down on floodlight costs amid the cost of living crisis.
Clubs across the Football League are set to debate these proposed changes next week for the very first time with the thought that teams could get games in the winter done without the need for artificial light.

It is obviously not an issue in August or even up until October turning November for most clubs with only the dark clouds of rain that England often provides causing light problems.
Sources have told the Telegraph that there is no “tangible benefit” being seen at this early stage of proceedings while parachute payments from the Premier League could be getting much smaller too.
Two hours might not seem like a great deal of difference but it could actually give the Baggies a unique advantage over their Championship rivals if it were introduced.
Being located in the Midlands, there is no trip that is obscenely long for Albion to travel so they should be easily able to make every journey there and back on the same day.

Someone like Carlisle United or Plymouth Argyle won’t have that luxury with potential 700-mile round trips to contend with being situated in the corners of the country.
It might only be a small difference in the grand scheme of things but it is often the tiniest of changes that can suddenly make a big difference.
It will also help fans be able to make the journeys around the country more manageable even if that means one less pint in the pub beforehand.
