West Brom loanee Quévin Castro scores incredible worldie for Notts County
West Brom on-loan midfielder Quévin Castro has scored a worldie in the National League fixture against York City.
The 21-year-old is currently spending a 12-month loan spell at the fifth-tier club Notts County.
During the match on Saturday, 24 September, Castro scored a breathtaking goal in the fifth minute, from 35 yards out, to give his team a one goal lead in the match. It was also his first goal for his new club.
One for the future
There are different methods of running a football club. One is obviously more expensive compared to the other.
The first one is all about buying the best available resources, no matter the amount of money he is likely to cost. That strategy is being followed by the big clubs like Manchester City, Real Madrid, PSG and others.
The other strategy is about thriving on the talent coming from the academy, something which is being used by the likes of Ajax and Southampton in particular.

West Brom, historically, have never been in either of those camps. They have never been a household name when it comes to developing homegrown talent who go on to become a real powerhouse in English football.
But it seems like finally, the Baggies have managed to find someone who can be useful for the club for a long time in Castro.
The fans will be hoping that the loan spell will help the 21-year-old a great deal and he will return to his parent club as an improved player so he can contribute to the team’s cause for a good part of the next decade.
In other West Brom news, this South American international found it tough to accept his deadline day move to The Hawthorns collapsed at the 11th hour.
