Nottingham Forest coach Steven Reid makes retirement joke after West Brom Clash of Legends

Nottingham Forest coach Steven Reid has made a retirement joke after the West Brom Clash of Legends over the weekend.

The former Baggies midfielder joked that it was his last game ever after he was fatigued from playing the charity game.

Despite calling it a day from his professional career in 2015, the former Republic of International international joked that it was his last ever match.

Via Twitter, Reid wrote, “I think the way the body feels today confirms that Saturday was probably my last ever game. Great way to finish.”

Entertainment

The game was a pulsating affair that ended 4-4 and ensured that the fans in attendance were entertained to no end.

It also raised money and awareness for the Albion Foundation and that’s only a good thing for all the causes involved.

The players played their part in making this more than just a football game and there was plenty of hype going into that contest.

We hope to see many more such games in the future, especially during international breaks as fans crave that afternoon kick-off.

It was good to see many former players in action and the game was played in the right spirits from start to finish as we expected it to be.

Mozza’s XI made a stellar comeback as well and it was refreshing to see players fighting for the result like it was an all-important contest.

In other West Brom news, John Terry was spotted fuming on Twitter after a Baggies suggestion during Chelsea v Leeds United.
