Jed Wallace ‘breath of fresh air’ for West Brom – Paul Robinson

Paul Robinson believes new West Brom signing Jed Wallace has been a “breath of fresh air” at the club.

The 28-year-old joined the Baggies as a free agent in the recently concluded summer transfer window after his contract with Millwall came to an end.

Robinson was quoted by Express & Star where he heaped praise on Wallace who according to him is a “great signing” for West Brom.

“He’s [Wallace] a great character,” he said.  “I knew he was going to go on and do well, especially here at the Albion. “For him it’s now time to shine and he’s been doing that, I’ve watched some of the games. He’s a breath of fresh air.

“Jed’s got quality, especially in the wide areas when he delivers the balls. He asks questions, obviously the attackers haven’t been there to put it in the goal at the moment but he keeps going it and they will score goals.

“Set-piece delivery as well, he’s fantastic. He’s got great energy, Jed, he works extremely hard for the team and is a great signing for West Brom.”

Influential

West Brom came into this season hoping to improve what they did last season where they finished 10th in the league table.

One of the areas where the side clearly struggled was the attacking department in the previous campaign and to address that issue, Steve Bruce signed a player like Wallace.

The 28-year-old has been extremely influential for the side in a season where hardly anything went right so far which shows the kind of quality he has as a player.

The Reading-born winger has already scored three goals and provided an assist in 10 Championship matches for the club.

Those numbers are not at all bad considering the Baggies are currently placed near the drop zone after managing to secure just a solitary win in the season.

The fans will be hoping that the former Millwall winger will be able to continue delivering similar performances in the matches to come and help the side in improving results.

In other West Brom news, Albion are struggling to sell tickets for a match this weekend with fewer than 10,000 sold.
