Chris Lepkowski savages West Brom striker Karlan Grant v Swansea

Chris Lepkowski was left furious with West Brom striker Karlan Grant after he missed a penalty against Swansea City at the Hawthorns on Saturday (1 October) in the Championship.

The Baggies lost 3-2 against the Swans at home, which leaves them with just one win in their last 11 games in the Championship.

Lepkowski wrote on Twitter while Steve Bruce needs to be blamed for his poor management, Grant has been “unprofessional” with his approach to the game.

Instead of taking the penalty normally, he tried to be too clever. Joe Chapman of Birmingham Live also described it as “dreadful” on Twitter.

Enough

Surely, the West Brom board must act now. Steve Bruce was brought in to steer the ship and get the club back to the Premier League.

However, under him, it looks like a spiral downfall and Bruce has no answer on how to solve this.

Bruce cannot survive this debacle – just one win in 11 games is unacceptable. This is simply not good enough.

The club must find a suitable candidate immediately and replace Bruce.

West Brom

Having said that what Grant did against Swansea is inexcusable. He had a great opportunity to give his side the lead and win all three points, but instead, he has let everyone down.

Jake Livermore and Grady Diangana scored for the home side to complete the turnaround after Matthew Sorinola had put Swansea ahead at half-time.

But they couldn’t hold on to the lead and conceded a late goal through Michael Obafemi. West Brom remain 21st in the table, and this is getting really embarrassing at the moment.

In other West Brom news, Albion are struggling to sell tickets for a match this weekend with fewer than 10,000 sold.
