West Brom: Steve Bruce yet to speak to club hierarchy over future as sack poll comes to light
90% of West Brom fans in an Express and Star poll have called for Steve Bruce to be sacked after yet another defeat in the Championship against Swansea.
The Baggies bounced back from 1-0 down to go ahead at The Hawthorns, before missing a penalty and then conceding to lose 3-2 in the dying moments.
That understandably caused outrage in the stands with most of it directed at the board and Bruce himself, calling for him to be sacked as the club inexplicably sit around the relegation zone.

Unfortunately for them though, that doesn’t look like happening.
The Express and Star have reported that Bruce himself told them that hierarchy talks have still not been held surrounding his future, meaning he is free to continue as usual.
Somehow, he still believes he is the right man for the job, despite having the lowest win percentage of his career in all 12 clubs he has managed.

Shocking.
We genuinely don’t know if things could even get any worst, that’s how bad it is.
It was a summer packed with optimism but even as many outsiders were tipping the Baggies for the top and promotion to the Premier League, the fans were not 100% convinced.
Bruce didn’t exactly finish the season well after coming in, and it appears as though having Ron Gourlay in high places is certainly helping his cause.
Surely, any other club the size of West Brom would have packed the bags of Bruce personally and shown him the exit door after this start to the season.
There are no excuses to be in this position given the players available to him, but being fair, they have to take some of this flack too with poor performances from the majority.
Something isn’t working in this relationship though, and a fresh face with new ideas could be exactly what is needed to turn everything around at The Hawthorns.
With a trip to Preston fastly approaching on Wednesday, that could very much be a last-chance saloon.
In other West Brom news, Ally Robertson only wanted one thing from Saturday’s game, and he didn’t even get that.
