West Brom have an almost full squad to choose from ahead of Luton Town fixture
Steve Bruce has confirmed that West Brom will have an almost completely fit squad to choose from ahead of their crunch match against Luton Town.
The Baggies head into the fixture with one win from their opening twelve Championship fixtures and currently sit in the relegation zone.
Despite the pressure firmly on Bruce, he will take charge of the side and has confirmed he will have an almost completely fit squad to choose from with Semi Ajayi and Daryl Dike the only absentees.
“Everybody is OK. We’ve got a full squad to pick from apart from Ajayi and Dike,” said Bruce [quoted by The Athletic’s Elias Burke, 7 October].
Last chance saloon
Surely this is last chance saloon for the West Brom boss after the midweek disappointment against Preston North End. There are also no excuses for Burce with pretty much all of his squad available for the match at The Hawthorns.
It promises to be a toxic atmosphere on Saturday from the offset and if Luton do go a goal or two ahead then the writing will certainly be the wall for the Baggies boss. Considering the poor start to the season Bruce should’ve been gone long ago.
One win in twelve Championship games would see almost any other manager be relieved of his duties and particularly if they had a squad with as much talent as West Brom’s in it.

There are probably a few West Brom fans who are eager for the result to be a negative one come on Saturday to ensure that Bruce isn’t at the club long-term.
It’s clear why he should be sacked but then there is a need for slightly more trust in football and to potentially give managers more time in search of long-term success. It promises to be an intriguing afternoon regardless of the outcome.
