West Brom hold their joint-worst start in second tier since Football League founded
West Brom have had their joint-worst start to the season since the Football League was founded, damning statistics have revealed.
Steve Bruce and the Albion have had a torrid start to the Championship campaign and are currently lingering in the relegation zone with one win to their name.
Their poor form now leaves them with an unwanted record, one that has only happened one other time since the Football League was founded in 1888.

West Brom currently have just one win from 12 games, a devastatingly poor run of form, nevertheless, manager Steve Bruce still remains at the helm.
Albion have been in the second tier on 41 occasions, including the current campaign and has only once before had an equally terrible start to the campaign.
That came back in 1994/1995 under Keith Burkinshaw, where a run of 12 torrid results relieved Burkinshaw of his duties at the Hawthorns, however, Albion survived relegation that season finishing 19th.

Pressure mounting.
Bruce is hanging onto his job with the Baggies by the skin of his teeth and it seems Saturday’s game against Luton Town may be the deciding factor on whether he lives to fight another day or not.
Albion fans are furious right now and have every right to be, their club is being managed terribly and the decision-making has gone beyond ridiculous now.
It’s crazy to think that Bruce still holds the main seat at West Brom, nothing has gone his way during his time at the club and he should have been relieved of his duties long ago.
Baggies now face an anxious wait as to whether the club’s hierarchy do the right thing, it would come as no surprise if Ron Gourlay backed his mate Bruce though.
The sooner this is resolved, the better position West Brom will finish this campaign, god forbid Bruce manages to cling on past Christmas, then the Baggies would be in real trouble.
