Steve Bruce responds if he will continue as West Brom boss v Reading
Steve Bruce has suggested that his players gave everything for him on the pitch as West Brom managed a 0-0 draw at the Hawthorns against Luton Town.
The Baggies fans directed toxic chants towards Steve Bruce during the game and the veteran manager is now facing an uncertain future at the club.
West Brom are winless in their last eight games in the league, but Bruce remained diplomatic when asked whether he expects to be in the job for the game against Reading.
Bruce said as relayed by The Atheltic journalist, Elias Burke on Twitter: “I say it all the time; that’s for others. I’ve just seen my team roll their sleeves up + give me everything they’ve got. If they’d have chucked it, you can ask me that question, but they gave me everything. That’s all I can ask for.”
Unacceptable
Steve Bruce was appointed with the intention to take the club to the Premier League.
After a poor end to the season, Bruce promised that things would turn bright as the club went for a major overhaul.
However, this is turning out to be a nightmare. With just one win in 13 games, the Baggies are fighting for survival at the moment, and the promotion dreams drift further away.
Of course, the Baggies operated on a tight budget in the summer, but with the players they’ve got, this is simply not acceptable.

They are without a win in their last eight games in the league, and it looks like they’ve completely forgotten how to pick up three points.
Bruce is an experienced manager and it is his responsibility to turn it around. However, there is a spiral downfall, and the manager knows it as well.
He says that the players gave everything and he has been saying this for a while. But the results don’t improve. Then who should take the blame for it?
Bruce has lost the support of the fans, and it’s time for him to leave the club.
In other West Brom news, Chris Lepkowski has scolded what he brands as a “rancid, horrible bunch” that have made the Baggies dressing room toxic.
