West Brom require pay off to get rid of Steve Bruce, he’s making things worse

West Brom find themselves in the relegation zone of the Championship and yet Steve Bruce still has his job as the club’s manager.

Even with 17 goals scored, the Baggies have not had any kind of form to shout about with the vast majority of their games coming from draws when they should have been winning.

As a result, fans of the Baggies have had enough and there were a lot of calls for the manager to leave during their latest disappointment, a 0-0 draw at home to Luton Town.

The Sun journalist Alan Nixon was asked on Twitter what it would take for the manager to leave his post with Albion and he was quick to respond with, “a pay off.”

If that really is the case, then Bruce is seemingly doing everything he can to annoy the West Brom fanbase and it’s almost as if he takes joy in other people hating him.

Ron Gourlay appointed him to be the man to take the club back to the Premier League but they are more likely to be playing in the Papa John’s Trophy next season at this rate.

Valerien Ismael came in for a lot of stick during his time in the Midlands but it turns out he was working wonders with this squad of players to be challenging in the playoffs.

So for Bruce to be belligerently sticking with his stance is cowardly if anything and proves that he has no interest in doing what is best for Wes Bromwich Albion.

It won’t be long before fans are rioting and protesting against the manager, the club’s owners and Gourlay to start afresh at The Hawthorns.

In other West Brom news, ITV Sport pundit Dean Ashton has weighed in on Bruce’s situation at the Baggies and thinks it isn’t a case of a poor style of play.
