Chris Lepkowski slams West Brom hierarchy after Steve Bruce sacking
Chris Lepkowski has torn into the West Brom hierarchy for their recruitment after they decided to finally part ways with Steve Bruce.
The former Baggies boss was overseeing one of the worst Championship reigns in recent history at the club and the decision had to be taken on his future.
While Lepkowski backs the move to get rid of him, he does not like the fact that most money is spent towards contracts and the new signings are often influenced by people who do not have expertise in that department.
He took to Twitter to write, “Neighbours, family friends, legacy targets driven by the CEO & manager – WBA recruitment is amateurish & uncoordinated.
“Most financial resources go towards signings/contracts. But we treat the process like an afterthought, with little evidence of care for suitability.”
Spot on
There is very little we can add to this as Lepkowski has covered all bases pretty succinctly in his tweet mentioned above.
We’re certainly not absolving past managers and players of any blame, but they come to the club without having the frameworks to succeed.
There was also no reason to hire Bruce in the first place and even in the summer, they could have parted ways with him and brought in someone better.
However, they chose the lazy way out and that ended up costing them dearly and they now have to begin the process of getting a new manager again.
By the looks of it, Sean Dyche and Michael Carrick are both going to reject their advances and that’s the state they currently find themselves in.
Hopefully, they manage to get someone to have the sort of impact as Steve Cooper did at Nottingham Forest last season.
In other West Brom news, John Terry was spotted fuming on Twitter after a Baggies suggestion during Chelsea v Leeds United.
