West Brom have not made any contact with Coventry City for Mark Robins
West Brom have not made any contact with Coventry City for their manager Mark Robins, according to Coventry Live.
Steve Bruce was sacked by West Brom on Monday morning (10/10) and the search for a new boss has intensified with many names being linked with the Albion job.
There were some suggestions on social media that Robins would potentially jump ship to West Brom from Coventry, nevertheless, it seems those rumours have been squashed.
The report states that West Brom haven’t made any contact with Robins over their managerial vacancy and are looking “elsewhere” for their Bruce replacement.
Coventry currently sit at rock bottom of the Championship table and despite Robins doing a fantastic job with Sky Blues they are struggling this campaign.

Move on.
Every time there’s a vacancy in the Championship, Robins name pops up, this isn’t a coincidence, the manager is extremely classy and has done a fantastic job at Coventry.
Whether he was the right man to change Albion’s fortunes, however, is questionable, especially considering his side’s current position in the Championship.
It’s likely tight-pursed Baggies owner Guochuan Lai didn’t want to pay the compensation for Robins to prize him away from Coventry.
Robins would have added a different dimension and playing style to Albion though and would have promoted the promising youth within West Brom’s ranks.
His time at the Building Society Stadium has gone stale this season, but there’s no denying the terrific job he’s achieved with the Sky Blues since 2017.
Taking a side from League Two to the Championship in three seasons is no mean feat, and those laughing at Robins links should show the manager a bit of respect.
In other West Brom news, speculation is only set to increase surrounding one name as the Baggies job is now available
