Journalist highlights former Derby manager Liam Rosenior as alternative option for West Brom job

Journalist Elias Burke has made the interesting claim that former Derby head coach Liam Rosenior would be a good option to consider for the West Brom job.

Steve Bruce was finally given the sack on Monday morning and the rumours have been going wild since over who will take over at Albion.

Burke admitted he got to know Rosenior well at Derby and claimed he is an “excellent” coach who develops youngsters in the right way after a fan suggested his name.

“Got to know him well at Derby,” said Burke via his Twitter page.

“An excellent training ground coach who recruited a whole squad this summer under very tight budget constraints.

“Relatively unproven in the hot seat but develops youngsters and teams in the right way. Needs a proper chance with support behind him.”

West Brom

Finally.

Finally, it happened and it’s been nice to see some solid names being linked with the Baggies in recent days, they will need someone special to turn things around.

Surely anyone other than Steve Bruce will be able to do a better job, he had lost the trust of his team and it was shown from the minute he came in.

West Brom needs to sort out a suitable option quickly, however, the Championship games aren’t slowing down for them anytime soon and results need to drastically change.

Roy Keane has seemed to distance himself from the role, which is arguably a good thing, his up-and-down management isn’t what Albion needed right now.

Sean Dyche or Chris Wilder seem like safe bets, although the idea of a young coach coming in like Rosenior who would promote the youth in the squad wouldn’t go amiss either.

Time will tell, but the Albion should have their answer by the end of this week.
