West Brom looking at potential move for Scott Parker

West Brom are discussing a potential move for Scott Parker to replace Steve Bruce, as per Dean Jones.

The former Bleacher Report journalist told Give Me Sport that the 41-year-old is emerging as one of the options for the Baggies after Bruce was sacked following a series of poor results.

West Brom were compelled to sack Bruce after the club picked up just one win from 13 league games so far.

“I’ve heard Scott Parker has been mentioned too,” said Jones to Give Me Sport.

“I think it makes sense that they would look at Sean Dyche. I mean, there really is great potential here for West Brom to turn around their season if they get this appointment right.”

Interesting choice

The Mirror reported on 10 October that Carlos Corberan, Sean Dyche, Gary Rowett and Chris Wilder are some of the managers on West Brom’s shortlist.

However, Parker is also emerging as one of the candidates for the Baggies as they look to turn their nightmare situation.

The Baggies are without a win in their last eight games, and they are in the relegation zone at the moment.

Parker is without a club at the moment. The 41-year-old has got enough management experience, and the Baggies will look into the fact that Parker took Bournemouth to the Premier League.

The Baggies do boast a talented squad, and with a better appointment, they can even challenge for promotion.

Parker also guided Fulham to the Premier League before, and he could be a brilliant appointment for the club.

He was sacked by the Cherries after just four games into this season, and he will be keen to return to management if given an opportunity.

In other West Brom news, Chris Lepkowski is reliably informed this manager wants the job at The Hawthorns.
