Jed Wallace admits he missed West Brom training this week
West Brom have been working hard on the training pitch with Richard Beale this week but Jed Wallace has not been as active as others.
Beale is usually the Under-21s manager but will take the reins for the trip to Reading on Saturday (15 October) after Steve Bruce was sacked from his post.
Fresh impetus has been injected onto the training pitch but Wallace admitted that he missed two days of work with food poisoning he believes is from a prawn linguini he had at the training ground.

“It wasn’t a great start to my training week when I woke up at midnight on Monday with food poisoning,” Wallace said on the BBC’s Football Daily Podcast. “So I’ve missed the last couple of days of training.
“I think I had prawn linguini on Monday at training so I did give it to the chef a little bit saying ‘Listen mate, if you don’t like me just tell me rather than poisoning me, I thought we got on well’.”
“I was back in training today and it was really good, I really enjoyed it. We had a couple of the younger lads training with us which always gives you a little boost.”
Kitchen Nightmares
The sound of food poisoning will be attracting the ears of Gordon Ramsay and his hit show ‘Kitchen Nightmares’ if more stories like this find their way out of the confines of the West Brom training ground.

This could just be an isolated dodgy prawn, in fairness to the chef, and not a comment on his ability to cook meals but Beale and Wallace are fortunate this happened on a Monday and not a Friday.
The former Millwall man is one of the Baggies’ most creative attacking forces and has been perhaps the standout player so far this season which makes him very hard to replace.
The trip to Reading, which Wallace says he is trying to get 25 tickets for as friends from the area try to watch him live, is a tough game with Paul Ince’s side riding high in the playoff places and Beale could do without his star man being ruled out for such an innocuous reason.
In other West Brom news, Wallace was also asked about the rumours linking one of his former managers to the vacant role at The Hawthorns,
