Joe Chapman shares if Richard Beale could be in charge for West Brom v Bristol City

West Brom could take more time in finding the right successor for Steve Bruce, which means Richard Beale could be in charge for a longer spell.

The Birmingham Live journalist, Joe Chapman, has shared on Twitter that he is “very impressed” with Beale, and could fit in as long as the club want him.

He will be in charge of the game against Reading on Saturday (15 October), but could also remain at the helm for the game against Bristol City.

Chapman wrote on Twitter: “Very impressed by Richard Beale this morning, in a role which he’ll fill for as long as the club need him to. With the games coming thick and fast, it’s not out of the question that he might be in charge v Bristol City, too.”

Change

The Baggies finally made the right call and sacked Steve Bruce. Now comes the hardest part.

For the past few years, poor appointments have hurt the club badly. This time, they must get it right.

The damage has already been done this season, with only one win in 13 games to show for it.

It is important to keep faith in Beale and let him manage a few games, while the Baggies board line-up ideal candidates for the role.

West Brom

According to journalist Alan Nixon of The Sun, Ron Gourlay is said to be fronting the search over the next big appointment, and a host of names have come up.

Sean Dyche was one of the names being rumoured, but it seems he has other projects to focus on.

All eyes will be on Saturday. It’s a fresh start and many players would be looking to give their best shot.

The Baggies have not won in their last eight games, and it’s time they get back to winning ways. They need a spark, a moment of inspiration, and Beale probably could provide that.
