Chris Lepkowski responds as Sean Dyche allegedly spotted at West Brom v Reading

Chris Lepkowski is unwilling to believe that Sean Dyche was actually at the West Brom v Reading Championship clash on Saturday.

The Liquidator posted that he had been in the stands watching on amid speculation to the Hawthorns hot seat, but Lepkowski wants more than the word of some other commentator.

It’s understood that an i-Follow commentator said that the former Burnley manager was in attendance, which could be a case of mistaken identity.

Lepkowski wrote on Twitter, “A word about Dyche supposedly being at Reading v #wba. If he actually was there would surely have been footage or photos of him there by now. Sounds like the Reading commentators were having someone on or mistaken identity.”

Makes sense

While Dyche has a pretty distinguishable look, there is a good chance that the commentators could have mistaken someone else for him.

Without talks being close or any real update on the club’s quest to hire the former Burnley manager, we do not think he would be attending the game.

If he did, it could be seen as a positive for the Baggies or it could merely be that he enjoys watching Reading play and was invited to the game.

Dyche does see himself as a Premier League manager so whether or not he’ll accept a job at one of the Championship’s mid-table sides, remains to be seen.

Regardless, it was an important win for the Baggies who played like they were free from Steve Bruce’s shackles.

What lies next for them is anyone’s guess and while Dyche would be the dream pick, the chances of that happening right now seem slim.
