West Brom interim boss provides exciting injury updates on Daryl Dike and Semi Ajayi

West Brom interim boss Richard Beale has dropped some exciting injury updates involving Daryl Dike and Semi Ajayi, claiming the duo will be back in action soon.

Dike has only managed 12 minutes of action this season after an impressive pre-season for the Albion, his presence up top will be welcomed back with open arms.

Beale confessed Dike is working “really hard” to get back match fit again and believes the striker is only a couple of weeks away together with Ajayi who is in a similar position.

“All I know is he’s still injured and a couple of weeks away,” Beale said about Dike as quoted by Birmingham Live.

“He’s working really, really hard to get fit, he’s a great guy and has been missed by the previous regime I know.

“He’s a good player and I know a fit Daryl Dike brings a lot to the squad. He’s a couple of weeks away from training, once he starts back it’ll be really, really positive.”

The interim boss also spoke of Ajayi’s return and believes the pair will be “two big additions” to his squad.

“I believe it’s similar, but you’re always wary of saying too much in case there’s any setbacks,” Beale reasoned.

“They will be two big additions to the squad and whoever the new manager is will be getting two very good players to add to the squad.”

West Brom

Welcomed.

Both players will be welcomed additions to the first-team squad, Dike can hopefully help in supplying the Baggies with some much-needed goals.

Whilst Ajayi’s monstrous presence at the heart of the Albion defence has been sorely missed, he can undoubtedly sure things up for whoever comes in as West Brom boss.

Albion squad depth will be needed this campaign more than ever, especially after the team’s dreadful start to the Championship season.

Whoever comes into the fold will have to get things right quickly, there’s little time to waste and West Brom needs as many three points as they can possibly get.

Nevertheless, all this news is positive for the Baggies and it looks like the club are finally moving forward in a constructive and hopeful way.

You have to remember there’s still plenty of time to revive West Brom’s season and it’s far from a forgone conclusion just yet.
