Sky Sports pundit predicts result of West Brom clash v Bristol City
David Prutton is backing Richard Beale to get the job done once again when West Brom face Bristol City on Tuesday night in the Championship.
The Baggies claimed their first win in ten games at the weekend with a 2-0 win over Reading, in caretaker manager Beale’s first game in charge since Steve Bruce was sacked as boss.
And writing in his Sky Sports predictions column [17 October], Prutton admits it wasn’t a surprise to see that happen and with Bristol City struggling for results he can’t see anything beyond a 2-0 home win for West Brom.

“It wasn’t too much of a surprise to see West Brom victorious in their first game since the departure of Steve Bruce,” he said.
“It happens so often and they will hope to kick on from here as they continue their search for a new manager.
“Bristol City are sliding down the league after just one win in seven, picking up just four points in that time. It’s hard to see them getting anything at The Hawthorns.”
Momentum
There may be no greater force in football than momentum, and for the first time this season West Brom have got some behind them.
The season so far has been utterly appalling, but with Bruce gone and a win under our belts, fans are finally looking forward to what is coming next at the club despite no signs of who will step up as the next boss full-time.
The Robins are seriously struggling in the league too, and a home clash against them after our weekend performance is exactly what they would have asked for if given the chance to choose their opponents.
The squad is in good spirits, players are on an upward trajectory and they have a more than winnable game in front of them right now.
A win on Tuesday night would be terrific for the club and fans, and would shoot them up the table closer to where we belong and finally our season can be considered underway.
