New West Brom manager could be at The Den for Millwall clash, news may emerge today

The news may emerge on Friday 21st October of West Brom finally appointing their new manager at The Hawthorns to replace Steve Bruce, according to the Express and Star.

The newspaper has reported that the club were hopeful of making an appointment before the trip to London, but did confirm that Richard Beale would complete media duties.

It is suggested that whoever the new manager is could even find himself in charge at The New Den with Karlan Grant also said to be available again.

If that doesn’t happen, there is still every chance that the new man may be at the game.

With little time to prepare or get used to the squad, the new manager may be in the stands to take in the action, it is reported, ahead of officially starting next week.

The Baggies could find themselves in last place once the weekend is over in the Championship though, meaning something needs to be done very quickly.

West Brom

Not a clue.

Ron Gourlay has been at the centre of these talks to hire a new manager, which is probably why it is taking so long with no preparation done before Bruce was sacked.

Carlos Corberan is said to have had at least two interviews with the club, so it would be easy to assume that he is currently the favourite to take over at The Hawthorns [Alex Crook].

With over 10 names on the list though, it is clear that Gourlay didn’t have a target in mind and instead just wanted them to come to him and impress him.

Sky Sports have reported that names such as Carlos Carvahal are on the list, only proving that there is not exactly much to get excited about right now.

This has to work or the Baggies are in serious trouble and given our previous struggles at Millwall, it may get worst before it gets any better – good luck to the new man in charge.

They are going to need it.
