Jeff Stelling: Carlos Corberan about to be appointed West Brom manager
West Brom are set to announce Carlos Corberan as their new manager this weekend, according to Jeff Stelling live on Sky Sports News.
The Sky Sports host was joined by Rob Dorsett reporting the news that the Spaniard is in advanced talks with the Baggies, and a deal could be completed before the end of play on Sunday.
Corberan is a disciple of former Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa, so the Albion squad could be set for some extreme training in a massive wake-up call.

Speaking live on Gilette Soccer Saturday for Sky Sports (22 October), Stelling shared the breaking news coming from The Hawthorns this weekend.
“We’re hearing that Carlos Corberan is about to be appointed as West Brom manager,” he said.
Dorsett added to the news on his personal Twitter account: “West Brom in advanced talks with Carlos Corboran over head coach vacancy. A deal could be completed by the end of the weekend.”
Done.
This is a real difference to what we have seen recently.
We are all used to the likes of Steve Bruce and Sam Allardyce, so to see such a radical difference in the form of Corberan coming in, it’s refreshing.
West Brom are languishing in the relegation zone in the Championship and it is simply embarrassing what we have seen, with Ron Gourlay taking most of that blame alongside Bruce.
Corberan will likely be at Millwall today in the stands if he is as close as it seems to stepping into the role, and the reaction should go through the roof.
The Spaniard transformed Huddersfield and took them to the Championship play-off final last season, something that no one expected.
So, why can’t he do the same this season with the Baggies and turn them around?
It would take a lot, but there is more than enough time to put a run together at The Hawthorns and make sure that we start rising that table as soon as possible.
In other West Brom news, The Athletic reported that one interview had already been done with a similar manager to Carvalhal, only younger.
