Carlos Corberan wants to take West Brom training within next 24 hours

Carlos Corberan is all set to become the next manager of West Brom, as per Simon Stone.

The BBC Sport journalist wrote on Twitter that the 39-year-old wants to take training tomorrow, that is on Wednesday (26 October), although the club is yet to confirm his appointment.

It shouldn’t take long as Stone shares that the Baggies should secure the deal within the next 24 hours.

Stone wrote on Twitter: “Carlos Corberan to West Brom should be sorted within 24 hours. [He] wants to take training tomorrow.”

Finally!

Earlier today (25 October), Spanish journalist Guillem Balague claimed that Corberan is travelling from Leeds to put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

It looks like finally, the Baggies are going to appoint a manager, and it could be a smart move from the club. He will replace Steve Bruce at the club as the permanent manager.

Corberan has experience of managing in the Championship, and he most recently managed Huddersfield Town.

It’s a calculated gamble from the Baggies. He is not a glamourous figure, nor highly experienced, unlike some other managers.

He has a huge task ahead of him to take the club out of this dreadful situation. With young managers, we can expect fresh new ideas, new tactics, and constantly evolving systems, which might benefit the team.

The squad is still good enough to get out of this situation, and it is time for the fans to get behind their new manager.

He took Huddersfield to the play-offs last season, which means if he is given time to rebuild, he can do a better job than what Bruce did.

West Brom shouldn’t expect a dramatic change from him. Rather, he should be given time to implement his ideas, but of course, the results gradually need to improve.
