Legal issues delaying Carlos Corberan becoming West Brom manager – journalist
Legal issues relating to his contract have delayed West Brom efforts to announce Carlos Corberan as their new head coach, according to Sky Sports journalist Rob Dorsett.
West Brom have been without a manager since the sacking of Steve Bruce, relying on interim coach Richard Beale to front their last three fixtures.
Dorsett admitted that Corberan will be announced as the new Baggies boss in the next 24 hours but legal issues were causing a delay.

“Carlos Corberan to be confirmed as new #wba head coach within the next 24 hrs,” said Dorsett via his Twitter account.
“Legal issues relating to his contract caused a couple of days delay, but those have now all been addressed and the Spaniard is ready to sign.”

Finally.
Things finally seem to be moving for Albion and it’s nice to see a classy coach being enrolled to take the helm at the Hawthorns.
Corberan is a solid appointment and will bring some youthful experience with him to the Hawthorns as West Brom look to get their season back on track.
The Baggies currently lie in the relegation zone in the Championship and have been pretty much dismal throughout the campaign, even without Bruce.
Things certainly need to change and the appointment of Corberan is one that is taking the club in a better direction, it couldn’t get much worse.
Whether or not the former Huddersfield Town boss will be at the helm for Saturday afternoon’s clash against Sheffield United remains to be seen.
But Dorsett’s claims that a deal for the new coach is being done in the next 24 hours bodes well for any chances he has of making it for the must-win fixture.
