New West Brom assistant Jorge Alarcon sends message to fans after being appointed
New West Brom assistant coach Jorge Alarcon has sent a message on Twitter after joining Carlos Corberan’s backroom staff at The Hawthorns.
The Baggies confirmed (26 October) Alarcon and Jaime Monroy will join the Spaniard after previously working with him at Leeds United, Olympiacos and Huddersfield Town.
Alarcon took to Twitter on Wednesday to send a message to The Hawthorns faithful after his appointment was confirmed.
“New Challenge WBA Let’s go,” said the Spaniard.
New era
A new era now begins at West Brom and it’s safe to say Corberan has a huge task on his hands after deciding to take the reigns. His first priority has to be keeping the Baggies in the second tier, with his new employers currently in the relegation zone.
Fans won’t be expecting promotion this season, but the Spaniard simply has to bring some positivity back to the club after the toxic end to Steve Bruce’s reign. A slightly more attractive style of football, with more goals being scored and a few more points on the board, will get fans back on side.

If the Spaniard can get this side performing more consistently the baggies will fly up the table in no time at all. The Championship doesn’t have a runaway group of teams this season, with pretty much everyone capable of beating anyone at the moment.
This squad certainly has enough talent within it to cause teams problems. If the Baggies do rise up the table quickly, it will further demonstrate how bad things got under Bruce.
