Ron Gourlay shares West Brom January transfer plans
Ron Gourlay has shared January transfer plans for West Brom as Carlos Corberan addressed his first press conference since becoming the Baggies boss.
The Spaniard has made it clear that he will assess his squad and wants to make it a competitive team.
Gourlay has suggested that funds will be available for the new manager if he wants to add new players, but the club may have to sell first.

“We’ve got a bit squad, and if Carlos feels as though we need changes in the squad, then we’ll look at that – that could mean funds available, but some may need to move on. We won’t be selling our best players, but we need to support his decisions,” said Gourlay, as quoted by Birmingham Live.
Strong message
It’s done now. Corberan is probably what the Baggies need at the moment.
The Baggies have a strong squad and they should not be in this position. With some hard training methods and positive results, the club now should aim to move up the ladder.
It is time to look forward, and the message from Gourlay looks encouraging.
One thing is clear – the Baggies will not be looking to sell their best players. It is a big boost for the manager, knowing he can build his plan on key players.

At the same time, the club wish to respect the manager’s vision, and if needed they’ll sell some of their players to free up space for new arrivals.
The Spaniard is a disciple of Marcelo Bielsa, with the pair having worked together at Leeds. He loves to play an exciting and attacking brand of football.
Sitting in the relegation zone doesn’t bode well with the club, and Corberan’s biggest task will be to get the maximum out of these players and get the club out of this mire.
