Carlos Corberan delivers strong message to West Brom fans

West Brom will take on Blackpool in the Championship at the Hawthorns on Tuesday night (1 November), looking to return to winning ways.

Carlos Corberan started his new managerial reign with a 2-0 loss against Sheffield United in the previous game, and he has pledged to turn things around.

The Baggies have lost their last three games in the Championship and picked up just one win in their last 13 games.

“Of course I understand, I know our fans have been living two-and-a-half years with maybe only enjoying some moments last year more than suffering,” Corberan said, as quoted by Birmingham Live.

“You know when your fans are in this situation the only thing you want to do is to change this.

“So our fans we only have to tell them we will give our best, not only on the football pitch, but even here. My main thing is to change the mind and emotion of our people, because I know everything they do to support us, so we need to do many things to give them the model we want to give to them.”

Must win

Corberan is absolutely spot on here. When the form is down, when the team is really struggling, the best way to lift the fans is by changing the situation.

The Baggies need the World Cup break badly, where they will be able to reset things and plan properly for the future. For the moment, they must focus on winning their remaining games.

The away form has been horrendous for the Baggies, but the home form has been disastrous as well.

West Brom

Last season, West Brom were at least getting good results at home, but so far that hasn’t happened.

Against Blackpool, they now have a chance to get a home win, and they must do it in style. Another defeat would be disastrous for the club, if not already.

It has been miserable for the Baggies since Slaven Bilic led the club to promotion in the summer of 2020. At this rate, they will have a tough fight to survive.

In other West Brom news, Chris Lepkowski has addressed rumours of the Baggies going into administration after what happened recently.
