Carlos Corberan shares first Twitter post after becoming West Brom boss

Carlos Corberan has shared his first tweet after becoming the new permanent manager of West Brom.

While the appointment was made last month, he probably didn’t get much time to share his feelings and emotions on social media, especially Twitter.

The Baggies earned their first victory under the Spaniard after beating Blackpool 1-0 on Tuesday night.

Corberan wrote on Twitter (2 November): “Intense first few days driven by the big honour, responsibility and motivation of being West Brom head coach. Thank you all for the warm welcome to this great club. We keep pushing hard together, which is what this challenge demands. Come on you Baggies!”

Win at last

The Baggies picked up their first win under their new manager against Blackpool, and the fans can now expect better things to come.

Okay Yokuslu scored the only goal of the match in the 85th minute as the Baggies registered a 1-0 win.

The Baggies lost 2-0 against Sheffield United in the Spaniard’s first game in charge. It was their second victory in the last 13 games in the Championship.

The Baggies had gone through a dreadful run of form under Steve Bruce, but hopefully, they can recover and start making progress under Corberan.

West Brom

It won’t be an easy fix though. West Brom do have a good squad and Corberan’s biggest task will be to get the best out of the existing players.

A few wins in a row will lift the mood completely. Right now, more than style and system, the club need to pick up points, even if by playing ugly.

The Baggies need to improve their record away from home, and Corberan will be looking to maintain the winning momentum when they face QPR next at Loftus Road on Saturday (5 November).

In other West Brom news, Chris Lepkowski has addressed rumours of the Baggies going into administration after what happened recently.
