West Brom confirm starting XI for must-win clash v QPR

West Brom have confirmed their starting XI for Saturday afternoon’s game against QPR, as the Baggies look to get back-to-back wins.

The Albion will be faced with a tougher challenge than Tuesday’s opponents Blackpool but every game is a must-win for Carlos Corberan at the moment.

Confirmed on Twitter prior to kick-off, the Albion made three changes from their starting lineup against Blackpool on Tuesday with Grady Diangana, Erik Pieters and Jayson Molumby returning to the starting XI. The Spaniard also made the major call in keeping Kyle Bartley at the heart of his defence.

Confidence building.

A win this afternoon will be huge for West Brom and give the team a massive boost in confidence heading into their final fixtures before the FIFA World Cup break.

Corberan getting a scalp against one of the Championship’s top teams will do a lot for the Baggies fans and it may see more of them turn up to The Hawthorns next time around.

It’s been a bleak and dreary campaign so far but hopefully, things can be turned around.

There’s little to no chance of West Brom gaining promotion to the Premier League next year so until then expectations need to be set slightly lower.

Although, a top-half finish isn’t out of the question and getting points on the board against top sides like QPR will go a long way towards achieving this.

Back-to-back wins are the remedy West Brom needs right now, fingers are crossed that they can get it this afternoon.
