Karlan Grant expects to miss West Brom clash v Stoke City

West Brom could be without Karlan Grant for their upcoming clash against Stoke City in the Championship on Saturday (10 November).

The Baggies are also likely to be without Semi Ajayi, but long-term absentee Daryl Dike could play some part in the next game, as per Birmingham Live.

Corberan has admitted that Grant’s injury situation is “very positive”, and that he is working hard to recover as early as possible.

“Very positive, he’s reduced the timing. He’s had a high reduction of the timing of the injury. He was working with a lot of concentration to try and recover as fast as he can to help the team. We are happy with his process,” said Corberan, as quoted by Birmingham Live.

No risk

It seems Corberan is overall happy with the injury situation at the moment.

Dike, for example, has taken part in the under-21 game recently against Nottingham Forest, and the Baggies boss is likely to integrate him gradually into the side.

The same can be said about Grant. The 25-year-old was withdrawn in the second half of the win over Blackpool after he took a knock in his ankle.

The centre forward has made 13 starts in the Championship and a further four appearances have come from the bench. He has scored just three Championship goals, and Corberan will expect a better output from him going forward.

The return of Dike could solve the crisis in the forward department if he remains injury free.

The Baggies will be looking to pick up their third straight win in the Championship this weekend.

Under Corberan, they have made a positive start, winning back-to-back league games, and keeping clean sheets as well.

The Baggies will move out of the drop zone if they can pick up a win on Saturday.
