West Brom fans group eager to recruit new members to discuss key matters

West Brom fans group “The Assembly” have urged fans to join them to discuss key matters in a new and improved recruitment drive aimed at diversifying its membership.

The Assembly launched in January 2015, with the West Brom hierarchy meeting with the group to discuss key matters within the team.

In a statement, the Albion Assembly stated that their committee is open to all and their quarterly meetings will be driven by passionate and purposeful topics.

“The Albion Assembly is open to all and is already well represented in many areas, but a recent survey of the current membership identified a need for greater diversity,” said the group as quoted by the Express and Star.

“Can you commit to attending quarterly meetings to discuss with passion and purpose all things Albion?

“If the answer is yes, then we would love to hear from you.

“Please complete our online application form, here. The deadline for applications is Tuesday, November 22 at 5 pm.

“Applications will be collated by the club and a sub-committee of the Albion Assembly will meet to approve new members. Successful applicants will receive an email confirming their appointment and information regarding the next meeting on Thursday, December 1.”

Helpful.

Having fan groups like the Albion Assembly and Action for Albion is the best way of getting the fans’ true feelings across to the club’s hierarchy.

And challenging members of the West Brom hierarchy like Ron Gourlay with meaningful topics head-on never hurts.

It has felt in recent years that the Baggies fans have been constantly ignored, so new drives to recruit personnel within these groups are always helpful.

Whether West Brom owner Lai Guochuan listens and takes note is another matter altogether but his looming deadline to pay back his loan will undoubtedly be a hot topic for debate in group meetings.

It’s not always doom and gloom in the fan groups either, discussions on things like the design of Albion’s kits were also mentioned in the report.

New head coach Carlos Corberan looks to be steering the club in a healthier trajectory so hopefully, there will be more positive matters to discuss in the coming months.
