West Brom v Stoke: Chris Lepkowski likens Brandon Thomas-Asante to former Real Madrid striker Ronaldo

Chris Lepkowski has waxed lyrical over Brandon Thomas-Asante’s bicycle kick goal as West Brom beat Stoke City 2-0 in the EFL.

He has compared that finish to former Real Madrid striker Ronaldo as well as ex-Manchester United ace Mark Hughes.

The 23-year-old scored one of the goals of the season in the second half of the contest to ensure that the Baggies celebrated another three points under Carlos Corberan.

Via Twitter, Lepkowski wrote, “That was Hugo Sanchez/Mark Hughes/Brazilian Ronaldo levels of bicycle kick. Phenomenal.”

Sensational

Corberan has restored some positivity about the club and going to games does seem a more exciting outing than it previously was.

The team is playing on the front with some much-needed hunger and they’re now going into games with the expectation of winning them.

Under Steve Bruce, this team was extremely passive and the team played like they had the shackles on and Corberan has now taken them off.

It also seems like Thomas-Asante is going to feature more regularly under him and that’s definitely what every Baggies fan wants to see.

Three points were important against Stoke as the Albion now continue their claim up the table and hope to get closer to the top six.

Currently, they’re 21st but winning their game in hand will take them up to 16th and that’s what happens with few good results and crucial points along the way.

In other West Brom news, Chris Lepkowski has addressed rumours of the Baggies going into administration after what happened recently.
