Chris Lepkowski gushes over John Swift after West Brom win over Stoke City

Chris Lepkowski has waxed lyrical over West Brom midfielder John Swift as the Baggies beat Stoke City 2-0 on Saturday.

The 27-year-old delivered a number of telling balls into the box and Kyle Bartley finally opened the scoring for the hosts in the 39th minute.

In the second half, Brandon Thomas-Asante scored a wonder goal to put some daylight between the two sides and they went on to secure the three points.

Via Twitter, Lepkowski wrote, “Swift delivery has been excellent today. This goal has been coming. Dike can flourish with such support in place.”

Finally looks a top signing

Swift moved to the Hawthorns amid plenty of excitement over the summer but it’s fair to say that it’s not been smooth sailings.

He’s had a few good games, but his time under the sun has been relatively underwhelming and Baggies fans will surely be asking for more.

However, on Saturday, they got what they deserved and Swift certainly would’ve been proud of his performance.

He was getting on the ball, and tried to make things happen and Carlos Corberan would’ve been delighted with his performance on the day.

It’s been a good start at the Hawthorns for the Spaniard and as long as he keeps getting the best out of his talented players, he will be a success at the club.

We cannot wait to look at the Baggies on the other side of the World Cup as for the first time in over a year, there is actually some excitement about the project.

In other West Brom news, Chris Lepkowski has addressed rumours of the Baggies going into administration after what happened recently.
