Peter Odemwingie delivers verdict on West Brom win v Stoke on Twitter

Peter Odemwingie believes “the better team” won as Carlos Corberan’s strong start as West Brom manager continued against Stoke City.

Goals from Kyle Bartley and Brandon Thomas-Asante were enough for the Baggies to seal a third straight Championship victory.

Odemwingie took to Twitter after the game (12 November) to share his thoughts on the clash between two of his former sides.

He wrote: “So was our Sophia’s first visit to The Hawthorns. Was good to see old faces and both ⁦@WBA⁩ and ⁦@stokecity⁩ fans. The better team on the day won. Love and respect.”

Good mood around the club

There’s a much better feeling surrounding The Hawthorns at the moment after a miserable start to the season. We are already seeing the low-margin Corberan football work its wonders, with three clean sheets in their last three fixtures. The win on Saturday is the perfect way for the Baggies to head into the international break.

The Baggies look like a bigger threat from set pieces and are starting to see the goals flow a little bit more regularly. Stoke can have no complaints over the result on Saturday, with it abundantly clear which club are heading in the right direction.

West Brom

Having said that, Baggies fans would love for to have someone like Odemwingie in his prime in their current strike force with Karlan Grant struggling this season and Daryl Dike out injured.

Thomas-Asante has a golden chance for more gametime with the Baggies and he will be looking to kick on after his wonderful strike against Alex Neil’s men.
