Richie Anderson in awe of Brandon Thomas-Asante after West Brom ‘masterclass’ v Stoke
Brandon Thomas-Asanste left West Brom fans with a goal to remember heading into the World Cup break as the Baggies beat Stoke 2-0.
The 23-year-old produced a moment of pure genius to acrobatically put the ball past Jack Bonham just after the restart after Kyle Bartley had given Albion the lead with his second goal in as many games.
The Hawthorns could not believe their eyes as the ball sailed into the top corner and BBC Strictly Come Dancing star Richie Anderson, a Baggies fan himself, was among those in awe of Thomas-Asante.
“What a day at The Hawthorns yesterday,” he said via his personal Twitter account. “Fantastic performance and atmosphere!
“Also a masterclass from BTA! Shame we have to break for the World Cup now we’re on a roll, but we’re in safe hands under the new manager.”

Carlos Corberan might have a very difficult decision to make when the season resumes in December because he now has three strikers who can lead the line effectively in the Championship.
Thomas-Asante has finally found his feet in the second tier having signed from League Two Salford City in late August and Daryl Dike is back to fitness too, coming off the bench against the Potters.

The World Cup break has come at a bad time for West Brom having started to pick up some momentum but the pause will allow Dike to get back to proper match fitness and Karlan Grant can also get himself fit again after a slight injury of his own.
Corberan could even end up switching to a system with two strikers if Dike, Thomas-Asante and Grant are all in good form when the season resumes.
The 23-year-old surely can’t be dropped for the next fixture regardless of Dike and Grant’s fitness after the most spectacular of ends to a hectic period of games.
In other West Brom news, Dike himself took to Instagram to marvel at the genius of his fellow attacker at The Hawthorns.
