West Brom flag spotted at England training session on second day in Qatar

A West Brom flag has been spotted at England training session in Qatar, as shared on Twitter by Matt Law.

The England team landed in Qatar for the World Cup a couple of days back, and on Day 2, they were practicing in an empty stadium. The Daily Telegraph journalist spotted the Baggies flag on the seats of the stadium.

It is not difficult to guess that the flag belongs to Pat Frost, the England kit man, who is a hard-cord West Brom fan.

Law wrote on Twitter: “Day 2 of England training and a West Brom flag has appeared on the seats of the stadium.”

World Cup break

England will take on Iran in the Group B game on Monday (21 November), as the World Cup fever starts to grip the fans all over the country.

The Baggies fans had hoped to see Tom Rogic play in the World Cup in Qatar, but he was dropped from the 26-man squad.

The club will enjoy a warm-weather training camp in Spain later this month, and it will be a good team bonding session for the players.

Some pundits opine that teams with players who are not participating in the World Cup could struggle after the break. But, for the Baggies, this break was much needed.

West Brom

Under Carlos Corberan, the Baggies have shown signs of improvement having picked up three wins in a row. They have kept clean sheets in all of those games, and the players head into this break with a positive frame of mind.

Some of the players could use this break to recover fully from injuries. Daryl Dike, for example, who has recently returned to training, would be hugely benefitted by traveling with the squad in Spain.

It is also an ideal time for the manager to take his players to the drawing board and teach them his methods and philosophies. Amid the backdrop of World Cup euphoria, the Baggies could take small steps toward fixing their problems behind the scenes.

In other West Brom news, Chris Lepkowski has addressed rumours of the Baggies going into administration after what happened recently.
