
Sky Sports commentators Rob Hawthorne and Stephen Kelly wowed by Jayson Molumby v Norway
Sky Sports commentators Rob Hawthorne and Stephen Kelly were left stunned by West Brom midfielder Jayson Molumby’s last-ditch tackle against Norway.
Molumby was playing in international action for the Republic of Ireland in a friendly against Norway on Thursday 17 November 2022.
Hawthorne admitted that the timing of the midfielder’s tackle was “perfect” with co-commentator Kelly agreeing that it was a great challenge.

Speaking during the live commentatory of the game on Sky Sports (20.16), Hawthorne was stunned by Molumby’s last-gasp heroics.
“The timing of the tackle had to be perfect,” exclaimed Hawthorne.
“It’s a great challenge from Mollumby,” said co-commentator Kelly in agreement.

Steps up.
Molumby always seems to step up to the occasion on the international stage and has become one of Ireland’s most important players.
He won their Player of the March award in his last outing for his country against Scotland despite losing 2-1 on the night.
He’s also starting to impress for the Baggies and was especially decent against Stoke City on Saturday 12 November 2022.
He pretty much covered every single blade of grass on the day.
putting in a special performance that saw precise passes combined with a work rate that fans have become all too familiar with in recent outings.
Hopefully, the midfielder can keep this kind of form up, he’ll be vital towards making things tick for Carlos Corberan moving forward in the season.
Fellow Albion man Dara O’Shea also appeared for the Republic of Ireland against Norway, a testament to his recent solid outings for West Brom.
