West Brom wonder Mo Faal secures loan switch to AFC Flyde
News has broken on December 2 that West Brom youngster Mo Faal has secured a loan switch to National League outfit AFC Flyde.
Faal will join Adam Murray’s Flyde setup on a one-month loan deal, with the view to getting the teenager some much-needed minutes under his belt.
West Brom announced the deal on Twitter, wishing Faal good luck in his next footballing journey, having already spent time on loan at Hereford and Telford United.

“We can confirm Mo Faal has joined AFC Flyde on a one-month loan deal,” said West Brom on Twitter.
“Good luck, Mo.”

Ismaël connections.
Faal’s next head coach at AFC Flyde may be known to some eagle-eyed Baggies, Murray was the former assistant coach to failed boss Valerien Ismael.
The 39-year-old joined West Brom in 2022 after a successful spell as the number two at Barnsley helping guide them to a fifth-based finish in the 2021/2022 Championship season.
It’s likely Murray will be fully aware of Faal’s talents, which makes him the ideal coach to take the youngster’s career to the next level, albeit only for a month.
Baggies under-18 boss Peter Gilbert hailed Faal as a player with a “physical presence” and this is something that will only help him in the tough and harsh National League.
West Brom may be wise to give the 19-year-old some minutes in the Championship at some point though, it’s unclear what their current strategy is with these multiple loan deals.
The forward is definitely one for the Albion faithful to keep an eye on, hopefully, they’ll see more of him at The Hawthorns soon.
