West Brom must blow Rangers out of water to sign long-term target Josh Onomah
West Brom should be looking to buy at least one midfielder in January as the club must support Carlos Corberan with funds in the market to make necessary reinforcements.
The Baggies were linked with a host of midfielders during the summer window, and they missed out on some of them, including Josh Onomah.
Onomah, 25, was heavily linked with a move to the Hawthorns on loan, and he was supposed to join on the final day of the summer transfer window. It was all nearly done.

He had his medical sorted [Mike McGrath, Telegraph], but the paperwork took too long to finalise and the deadline was missed, as a result.
It was a frustrating moment for all parties involved. The two clubs had reached a loan agreement, but the move fell through.
The Baggies should re-ignite their interest in signing Onomah, although Corberan may have his own preferences.
According to a report from Birmingham Mail [7 December], Onomah looks “destined” to leave Fulham in January.
Marco Silva doesn’t fancy him at all. He is not in his plans at Craven Cottage as Onomah has made only two appearances this season, totalling 14 Premier League minutes.

Rangers boss Michael Beale is also looking to secure his signature in January. He has already lined up a move for him as he wants to bolster his midfield at Ibrox.
Having missed out on Onomah once, it will be a bitter blow if they fail to land him again.
The former Tottenham player has got loads of Premier League and Championship experience, and a change in scenery could do wonders for his career.
With Jake Livermore approaching the end of his career at the Hawthorns (unless he is not offered a new deal), it’s high time the Baggies sign a relatively young player who can be a long-term asset for the club.
