BBC reporter reveals what West Brom players told him about Steve Bruce and Carlos Corberan
BBC Radio WM’s Albion reporter Rob Gurney has revealed what West Brom players told him about Steve Bruce and new Baggies head coach Carlos Corberan.
The Spaniard took over the reins from Bruce at The Hawthorns after the Englishman left the West Midlands club in a precarious position.
Gurney confessed that West Brom players described Corberan’s attention to detail as “forensic” something that players admitted couldn’t be said for Bruce.

“They look organised and a lot more compact under him, and according to a number of players I’ve spoken to, Corberan’s attention to detail is forensic, which couldn’t be said about his predecessor Steve Bruce,” said Gurney as quoted by BBC Sport.
It seems shots are still being fired at old Bruce and he can’t avoid the trigger of his unfortunate spell at the Baggies.

Not surprised.
It’s hardly surprising that Bruce and Corberan’s attention to detail differs massively, it’s pretty evident in the way West Brom have played since the Spaniard’s arrival.
And maybe now the players are realising just how bad of a job Bruce was doing, something which the fans knew for far too long.
It’s going to be interesting to see how far Corberan can guide the Baggies out of the mess that was left by Bruce, especially with a long run of games after the FIFA World Cup break.
West Brom takes on Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on 12 December in the return of Championship football for Corberan and co.
The Albion are 21st after they won just one of their opening 13 games before Steve Bruce was sacked in October, this drastically needs to change.
Corberan, who took Huddersfield to the play-off final last season, has led the Albion to three successive wins, with luck, he can catapult the club up the league table this campaign.
