Callum Robinson sends message to Daryl Dike after first West Brom goal v Sunderland

Daryl Dike took to Instagram to share his reaction after he scored his first goal for the club as West Brom won 2-1 against Sunderland on Monday (12 December).

Dike’s teammate Callum Robinson sent him a seven-word brilliant message, while other players also encouraged him with congratulatory messages.

The Baggies came from behind to secure a fantastic win, with Tom Rogic also netting his first goal for the club.

“Finally. Ecstatic to score my first goal and keep win streak going! We keep on moving,” wrote Dike.

“Love it my bro, happy for you,” replied Robinson.

Way to go

What a comeback! The Baggies produced a superb second-half display to beat the Black Cats and climb out of the Championship.

The home side completely dominated the first half, and they took a deserved lead. But inspired performances in the second half saw the visitors snatching a victory.

Dike, who remained injured all this time, came from the bench to head home a right-wing cross from Jed Wallace.

West Brom

After a nightmare start to the season, it seems the Baggies have found their mojo back, picking up four wins in a row.

Ahead of the match, they had started in 22nd, one point off safety. Now, they are 17th in the league, with just eight points off the top six with a game in hand.

Let’s not get carried away, but Corberan is doing something special. They must look to pick up their fifth win in a row when they face Rotherham next at home on Saturday (17 December).

In other news, West Brom are in the hunt to sign Ryan Porteous after some reported Rangers interest.
