Carlos Corberan shares Twitter reaction after West Brom win v Sunderland
Carlos Corberan has shared his reaction on Twitter after West Brom secured a 2-1 win against Sunderland in the Championship on Monday (12 December).
Despite going a goal down, the visitors came back strongly to secure a win, with goals coming from Tom Rogic and Daryl Dike in the second half.
The Baggies have now won four wins in a row and they’ve climbed out of the Championship relegation zone.
“We were very keen to be back in competitive action and despite the challenges, the players showed their character and ambition. Proud of the effort from the whole group!,” wrote Corberan on Twitter.
Fighting spirit
After a nightmare spell under Steve Bruce, we’re finally seeing some ray of hope under Corberan. This is exciting stuff.
The results have improved and it was necessary to get a win after the international break. It’s too early to make strong statements, but the club is definitely sending out messages that they are going to fight till the final whistle.
It seems the players have responded to Corberan’s methods, and hopefully, the winning run will continue for a while.
The return of Dike is a massive boost, and it didn’t take him long to make an impact. After his injury nightmare, he now seems to be back to normal and could make a real difference if he stays fit.

All he needs now is a consistent run of games. He is a natural finisher, and hopefully Corberan has better plans of how to utilise him.
It was heartening to see Rogic scoring a brilliant goal, as he curled a leveller with the outside of his boot in the 70th minute.
The Baggies must look to earn five wins in a row under Corberan when they face Rotherham on Saturday (17 December) at the Hawthorns.
In other news, West Brom are in the hunt to sign Ryan Porteous after some reported Rangers interest.
