Sky Sports commentator stunned by Tom Rogic goal in West Brom win v Sunderland
Sky Sports commentator Ian Crocker was left stunned by Tom Rogic’s magical equalising goal against Sunderland, which helped West Brom come from behind to claim three points at the Stadium of Light.
The Australian’s goal on the 69-minute mark sparked Carlos Corberan’s side into life after a poor first half which saw them fall behind to an Amad Diallo penalty.
When Jed Wallace’s cross was cleared to the 29-year-old on the edge of the box, he released a stunning curving shot with the outside of his boot which nestled into the corner of Anthony Patterson’s goal.

Speaking live on Sky Sports match commentary on Monday night (12 December), Crocker was left gushing over the goal which had been crafted from the slimmest of opportunities.
He said: “And Tom Rogic, with a fabulous finish.”
“I said he scored some big goals in big games for Celtic, and that could be so crucial to West Brom as well, it’s brought them level at the Stadium of Light.”
Brilliant strike
From the moment Rogic was summoned from Corberan’s substitute’s bench, he was a man possessed.
The goal was one for the midfielder’s highlights reel, with the technique used to place the ball in the corner of the net purely exquisite.
It is an ever-so-slight throwback to Thiago’s Champions League goal for Liverpool, which was in the same ilk – albeit from much further out – with the timing of the strike bang on and the goalkeeper standing no chance as soon as the ball was hit.
As well as netting this stunning equaliser, the midfielder dominated the physical battle in the middle of the park, making six tackles and notching up a pass success rate of 91.7% [WhoScored].
With the Baggies set to face Rotherham this weekend, the Australian will be chomping at the bit for a place in the starting XI as Corberan looks to make it five wins on the bounce in the Championship.
In other West Brom news, Daryl Dike sends a one-word message to supporters after netting the winning goal against Sunderland.
