West Brom midfielder Tom Rogic makes his way into EFL team of the week
West Brom midfielder Tom Rogic has made his way into the EFL team of the week, thanks to his brilliant performance against Sunderland.
The Baggies earned a 2-1 win against the Black Cats on Monday (12 December) where Rogic scored his first goal for the club, which Sky Sports has described as “fabulous”.
Daryl Dike also scored his first goal for the club as the Baggies came from behind to pick up all three points.
Missing candidates
Rogic suffered heartbreak last month as he was not selected for Australia’s World Cup squad.
He didn’t play enough games though due to injuries, but now he has a great opportunity to make a strong impact for his club, and show his international manager what he is capable of.
While the inclusion of Rogic is justified, it’s hard to believe the EFL didn’t include Jed Wallace in their team of the week.
The 28-year-old was sensational during the game, and it was from his cross, Dike scored the winner.

The Baggies started the game when they were in the 22nd place, one point off safety.
Now, after picking up their fourth win, they have jumped to 17th in the league, with just eight points off the top six and a game in hand.
Carlos Corberan has injected belief among his players and the results are evident. The Baggies are playing with confidence at the moment, something that was missing under Steve Bruce, and long it may continue.
In other news, West Brom are in the hunt to sign Ryan Porteous after some reported Rangers interest.
