Daryl Dike dropped as Brandon Thomas-Asante returns – West Brom starting XI v Coventry City
West Brom have confirmed their starting XI for their Championship clash against Coventry City on 21 December with Carlos Corberan making one change.
Brandon Thomas-Asante has returned to the starting lineup after his goal against Rotherham in the Baggies’ 3-0 Championship win at The Hawthorns.
Daryl Dike has made way after being replaced by Thomas-Asante against the Millers as Corberan looks to continue his perfect start since taking charge.
Change nothing
Although the Sky Blues currently sit above the Baggies in the Championship table, Albion are currently operating at a much higher level than their current league position suggests. This group of players have shown their immense ability in the last five matches, and Corberan will be looking to make it six wins on the spin against Mark Robins’ side.
Coventry are coming off of a disappointing draw to Swansea City, having been three goals to the good. Their confidence is likely to be low at the moment and it’s the ideal opportunity for the Baggies to start fast and move into an early lead.

The goals have been flowing of late, but it’s also important to recognise the defensive numbers which Albion are currently producing. The Baggies have conceded just one goal since the Spaniard took charge, which is making life much easier in an attacking sense for Corberan’s side. Let’s hope for another clean sheet and another positive result for the Baggies.
