Finance podcaster sends message to lawyers as West Brom share official statement
Comedian Kevin Day has sent a message to any lawyers to provide an update on the independent investigation happening at West Brom currently.
Club CEO Ron Gourlay has reportedly agreed in principle to fund an independent investigation into unpaid loans to Jeremy Peace for £3.7m back in 2014.
And while speaking on “The Price of Football podcast” (21 December, 40:11), Day sent a message to any potential listeners who could help get to the bottom of it.

“I’m intrigued by this independent investigation,” he said.
“If top lawyer and fan of the pod Nick De Marco is listening, and I hope he is because lawyers are yet to find a way of charging us for listening, I’d be really interested in the legal status of this investigation and what it’s parameters would be, and what any potential legal outcome would be were they to find wrongdoings are taking place.
“So if Nick or any other lawyer out there can shed some light on that, that would be very interesting to hear.”

It’s about time we got some answers about what is going on behind the scenes at our club and someone needs to be held accountable for it all.
The club is in ruins behind the scenes and while fortunes on the pitch have improved since the arrival of Carlos Corberan just before the World Cup break, things still don’t look good.
The finances at the club need to be brought under control in order for the squad to be strengthened during the January transfer window, so we have a far better chance of securing promotion back to the Premier League where we belong.
The entire summer window was lost to free transfers barring the late arrival of Brandon Thomas-Asante, who signed for just £300k, and that simply isn’t good enough for a team who has spent so much of the last decade in the Premier League.
Once all of this gets dealt with we can finally move forward, but it will be interesting to see if anyone steps forward and can explain the ins and outs of this so fans can have a better understanding.
