Football author Martin Calladine backs West Brom fans in fight against financial situation
Footballer author of “Fit and Proper People” and “The Ugly Game” Martin Calladine has backed West Brom fans’ fight against the clubs’ current financial situation.
Calladine has been vocal in his support of the Baggies fans raising issues surrounding the team’s poor ownership and finances.
The football author again backed the Action for Albion group on Twitter, highlighting fans “step up” in demands for answers over the club’s finances.
“West Brom fans step up their demand for answers about the club’s financial situation,” announced Calladine on Twitter.
Calladine was responding to an email sent by Action for Albion to the Baggies CEO Ron Gourlay’s PA, in which the group questions the leadership of the club.

Time to go.
As results and performances improve on the field it’s time for club owner Guochuan Lai to move on and leave the Baggies once and for all.
He hasn’t even been seen at The Hawthorns for who knows how long and the payback of the £5m loan still seems to be up in the air.
Fans simply deserve better at West Brom and it’s painful to see the club’s hierarchy simply disregard the hopes and dreams of many of the Albion faithful.
Groups like Action for Albion have been doing a terrific job at highlighting the problems within the club and with luck, their relentless efforts won’t go unnoticed.
Big voices within the game like Calladine backing the group’s initiatives also help matters and more within the game need to step up and do their bit.
Action for Albion has asked for a meeting with Gourlay to discuss the matters and the CEO should entertain the group’s latest offer to devise some resolutions.
