David Prutton predicts West Brom showdown v Bristol City in Championship for Sky Sports
David Prutton has predicted goal galore when West Brom travel to Ashton Gate to face Bristol City in the Championship on Boxing Day (26 December).
The Baggies are heading into this game on the back of a 1-0 defeat against Coventry, and Prutton finds it “tough” to pick a winner here, as the Sky Sports pundit predicted a 2-2 draw for this game.
It has been a “stop-start season” for Bristol who are 18th in the league table, two points behind West Brom.

“It’s a tough one this for Bristol City. In truth, it’s been a tricky stop-start season, with the way they took the lead against Stoke before falling to defeat summing them up perfectly,” wrote Prutton on Sky Sports.
“West Brom’s run came to an end in midweek at Coventry, but that shows just how tough this league can be. There should be goals here, but I’ll go for a draw.”
Three points
It has been a terrific start under Carlos Corberan, but the defeat against Coventry shows how difficult the league is. The Baggies will now be looking to avoid a second successive defeat away from home.
In the last six games under the Spaniard, the Baggies haven’t conceded two goals in a game. There has been a marked improvement in defending, and let’s hope they keep it tight at the back once again.

These are the games the Baggies should win if they are still ambitious about getting into the playoffs. It’s not out of their reach as yet, and the hope has been rekindled after recent impressive wins.
Bristol City are going through a poor run of form at the moment. They have picked up only one win in their last six Championship games.
This is in sharp contrast with the situation the Baggies are in at the moment. At home, Bristol will look to pick up all three points, but West Brom should return to winning ways.
