Chris Lepkowski thrilled by what West Brom ace Tom Rogic did v Bristol City
Chris Lepkowski was blown away by the performance of West Brom midfielder Tom Rogic as they beat Bristol City on Boxing Day.
Rogic, 30, came off the bench in the second half of the contest and hit the ground running, winning both of his ground duels.
The Baggies won the game 2-0 and climbed up to 12th place on the table with 32 points, just three away from the top six.
Via Twitter, Lepkowski wrote, “Rogic looking every bit as good as he did for Celtic. Great footballer.”
Some signing
Rogic had a great amount of experience at Celtic and it was surprising to see him being released there.
West Brom wasted no time in getting his services over the line and it was the big-name signing that excited the fans.
There was some scepticism over if he was still the same player or was he past his best, but he’s proven that he’s still got it.
We believe that Carlos Corberan is the ideal coach for him and we will not be surprised if some of his best performances come under the Spaniard.
It’s also exciting to see this remarkable upturn in form by the Baggies as they now find themselves in 12th spot.
Finishing in the top six is no longer a distant dream and a couple of signings in January could go a long way towards achieving that goal.
